Plot: The Industrialist Joachim Essenbeck, appoints his grandson Konstantin as vice director of his Company. Old Joachim is then assassinated and Herbert, forced to flee, is accused of the murder. Martin, Joachim’s grandson, major shareholder and son of Sophie the widow, appoints Bruckman (his mother’s lover) as company director.
